June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month

June 12, 2015 in LifeCare Health Services

Approximately 47 million people are living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias worldwide. The Alzheimer’s Association is asking for help to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and other brain health matters in the month of June.

How can I help?

Purple is the official color of the Alzheimer’s movement. Wear purple during the month or turn your social media pages such as Facebook and Twitter purple to show your support. Join one of the 600 Walks to End Alzheimer’s happening across the country in June. Donate to research initiatives to find a cure. But most of all show love and support to those who are suffering from Alzheimer’s and their family.
